The 40th vetmaster Animal Hip Replacement Course (Guangzhou) has concluded successfully
This training course on Vetmaster small animal total hip replacement has been completed. The course systematically covered the theoretical framework of small animal total hip arthroplasty, including indications and contraindications, preoperative templating, key points for cementless prosthesis implantation, surgical approaches, intraoperative angle control, perioperative pain management, postoperative rehabilitation and prevention and management of complications. Through expert case discussions, surgical demonstrations and specimen hands-on practice, I became familiar with the complete surgical workflow and clarified key technical challenges such as prosthesis placement and soft tissue repair. I also exchanged clinical experience with peers. Going forward, I will standardize preoperative evaluation, select cases cautiously, keep learning continuously, steadily apply total hip replacement in clinical practice, and improve the diagnosis and treatment of hip diseases in dogs and cats.
